Breeze Baby Colour Styling

It is that time of year again. The Babes in Arms team is busy developing some brand new colours for our Breeze Baby Sling ready for summer. Our trouble? We’re stuck on our shades of blue.  Below (and our our FB page here) you will find swatches for navy, royal blue, light blue and purple.

Please let us know which your favourite by leaving a comment below or “liking” your favourite on our facebook page.

As a special reward we have a set of BabyLegs legwarmers for one participant. Could it be you? Expand your comment and let us know why you prefer the colour you have chosen. We will choose our favourite and let you know via our blog.

Purple because it is such a royal colour and all babies that go in a Breeze Baby Sling are little prince’s and princess’s

  2. Natalie Daley says:

Navy, it goes with anything and doesn’t show up bubba chuk. My only concern would be if the Navy colour smudged in sweat & heat (have had this happen with other carriers), so in that case the light blue is the “safer” colour.

  3. Jen Muir says:

Purple, not only is it my favourite colour, but it also a colour linked to pregnancy, feminine, relaxation, and psycic awareness!

  4. Sue Lloyd says:

Royal blue . Light blue doesn’t always cope well with constant use. Purple and Navy are a bit dark for summer and I’ve never met a baby who didn’t look lovely against royal blue – regardless of skin tone or hair colour.

  5. Sarah says:

Purple, because my mum bought my little girl a purple outfit and she looks the absolute cutest in it!

  6. Stace Mills says:

I love all the above colours, but my fav would have to be the Purple :)

  7. Liz Milner says:

Light blue – being a light colour it wont attract heat like the darker colours – so will be cooler for bub. Also it looks nice and fresh and stands out more than purple or navy

  8. Nicola says:

I like the royal blue and the navy. Both really nice colours and very practical goes with anything.

  9. Nikki O'Donnell says:

Navy – good for either gender (baby or parent!) and goes with anything. Very inoffensive but classic and stylish. Light blue also good as when you wipe it with a babywipe less likely to get that white marking but this is more boy focussed colour.

  10. Michelle Chapman says:

Purple, I can picture it in my head and it looks FANTASTIC!

  11. I have to say Royal Blue As it is purrrfet for both sex’s :)

  12. Kelly Rusbatch says:

My first choice would be purple, as it is a gender neutral colour. I think we see a lot of the traditional pink and blue shades so the Purple would be a lovely change. It is also a colour either Mum or Dad could wear while carrying baby.My second choice would be navy because of the darkness of the fabric being able to hide any possible stains etc easier than a lighter coloured fabric.

  13. Francesca Wilkin says:

Navy Blue, you wont notice the stains on a darker colour :P

  14. Mel G. says:

Light Blue is my fav because it is unisex for mum’s and dads, goes with almost all clothes colours and also makes me think of wee babies as it is a light, innocent colour.

  15. Kahlia says:

Personally i love royal purple, but i think it would be harder to sell that to someone with a boy. I think Navy is a safer choice, goes with almost everything, baby puke would be harder to spot, as would general wear ‘n’ tear/marks, safe boy or girl colour, which could be dressed up themselves and kept for future babies, men wont have a problem wearing navy, although i think they might if it was purple ;)

Second chioce would be royal blue. :)

  16. Amy King says:

Light Blue, there are so many boring coloured accessories for kids out there, and this one ,in my mind, strikes a balance between being versatile and providing a strike of colour. Also being a light colour it won’t show baby badge quite as bad as dark colours.

  17. Jacqui says:

Purple. Simply because it’s my favourite colour (for all the reasons already mentioned) and I want a breeze baby sling for summer and would LOVE a purple one (and would buy it in a heartbeat!)

  18. Lauren says:

I am loving the light blue colour, it reminds me of summer and being at the sea, which is when I would use my Breeze Baby sling the most.

  19. Claire says:

The Royal Blue is my fave – most of my clothes are black so this provides a nice burst of colour as well as matching my son’s beautiful eyes!

  20. Carolyn says:

Royal blue. It reminds me of the colour of Sydney Harbour on a glorious summer day with a gentle ocean breeze blowing. That and it’s one of my personal faves, a good neutral colour that won’t show stains like light blue and isn’t too offical/uniform like as navy can be (forever scarred by high school uniform associations).

  21. Carly T says:

I love the purple – such a happy, pretty colour. It would go with most other colours so it doesn’t matter what you or bubs is wearing.

  22. Becki-Jo says:

mmmm I see your problem, If I saw all four on the shelf I would pick up the Navy. It goes with every colour like black. Mum’s and Dads could both wear it as it is a unisex colour. My hubby would have a problem with the purple and I probably would not pick the light blue for a girl. If it is your first baby you want something unisex incase you have a girl next time. I also think that it goes beautifully with Jeans! My second choice would be the Royal Blue as it is a lovely tone.

  23. Sandra says:

Love the royal blue. It’s dark enough, unlike the light blue, so that it will mask any spills or stains, but not as dark as the navy so it won’t be as hot or absorb as much heat. Purple is okay but I know my hubby would say royal blue is a much more unisex colour he’d prefer to wear.

  24. Karen Hopkins says:

Royal Blue. It’s a good solid colour that both men and women will be comfortable wearing, and suits boy and girl babies. It looks lovely with pinks and purples but would also go with ‘boy colours’ too. It won’t show stains like the light blue but is a bit brighter than the navy.

  25. Nadine says:

I’m thinking the light blue because it’s nice, fresh and breezy, so you’ll be all set for Summer.

  26. Susan D says:

Light blue would be my pick, as it’s a nice baby colour and suits summer best. It’s unisex and will suit any clothing you are wearing being a light colour.

  27. Jo says:

i’d have to go with the light blue. it would be a cooler colour for bub, looks good on all bubs and i think baby spew could just rub right in! lol

  28. Amanda says:

I would go for the navy, it goes with most things, looks stylish and you could have a boy or girl in it, they would look super cute!

  29. Lisa Abejja says:

Royal blue is so beautiful. Bright and fun plus very regal. I adore this colour

  30. Amy Phair says:

Purple! Purple is amazing – a very feminine colours for baby wearing queens :)

  31. Karyn says:

I like the light blue colour – I think it is a bit more modern than the other colours.

  32. Angela L says:

Purple – colour of royalty – and I love it!! :-P

  33. arwen_tiw says:

Purple! Lovely bright colour, perfectly unisex IMO, and good for going with lots of other stuff.
