We now have two ERGOs, after putting off getting one for ages with our first, now 2 ¾, we bought one when she was 18 months and loved it so much, especially when traveling interstate. Now that I have a new baby, now 3 months, I find I am using my ERGO everyday (he’s MUCH heavier than my daughter was at this age!) because it is simply the most comfortable supportive baby carrier for both of us. My daughter still loves going in the ERGO and so we decided to get a second one so that my husband and I can carry both of our children when we are out and about, and for our upcoming holiday. It will also help for when one needs washing! I have pouches, wraparound slings and I once used a framed backpack carrier, and ERGO beats them all for design. I have had some stitching come undone on the front pocket (not structural), and I haven’t been very impressed with the ERGO backpack – I use it as my everyday carry bag and it’s hard to find things in it, the zips and Velcro are failing, and I don’t attach it to the ERGO anymore because the toggles always come loose (even when new). But really, I know lots of people who think the ERGO is too expensive, but have without a second thought spent two or three times this amount on a pram. Now with two ERGOs and a lightweight stroller, we’re still in front on spending (and we hardly ever use the stroller). Many people commented on my daughter’s early control of her neck and head, and good strength and balance. She was walking at one. She also sleeps well despite noise and light and has a very strong attachment to both of us. My mum often carries my little son in a sling and this is helping them to bond beautifully also. So thanks!
